I got the following email from Maplin is this true !!!
The macrovision should not be affecting the sound, it just messes up the sync levels of the video,so I have no idea why the sound is breaking up.
It is a shame to use a dvd with a modulator. We actually sell a video enhancer which will remove the macrovision before it gets to your video recorder and should remove the requirement for a modulator.
