I cannot remember how I found this but Rentokil has done some research into plants and the acoustic influence in rooms.

Great post. Possibly the bestest WAF home cinema product on the market. If I go home and say "darling I think I need a Ficus Benjamina for the cinema", I'll get that familiar look of "I don't care, because whatever it is I won't understand it and I therefore don't give a toss", but when I walk in with the foliage itself.....................she'll think I'm even crazier than she does now.

Majestic. Thanks.

Excellent link. I've long known of certain plants and their acoustic abilities (albeit more usually in terms of diffusion, rather than absorption), but it's interesting to see their effect having been measured.

They are, alongside the ubiquitous curtains/wall hangings/bookshelves, valid means of introducing basic acoustic control to rooms that are otherwise under 'certain domestic constraints' ;)
