All,
Looks like The Rock has now got a UK Distributor. I have requested further info from the Gentleman/Company in question.
Regards Neil.

So who is it then?
Well thats what's weird. I've been given a non-descript email address :(
I've sent off a list of questions re: company, upgrades service etc which is why I was vague in the first posting.
Regards Neil.

Looks like its going to be a couple of weeks before they are fully set up. It appears that upgrades etc will be able to be done locally in the UK. Price of course is now my main question.
Regards Neil.
and following up Price appears to be very competitive which makes a change.
My Rock has been shipped and I'm tracking it on Fedex. It was in Memphis at 23:00 last night :D
Neil
I think it's only fair that you give us your Fedex tracking number so we can ALL track it!!! :D
Actually it arrived in Stanstead an hour ago
Ut Oh :(
Fedex Email "Regulatory Agency Clearance Delay..."
Some bugger in Customs has it, probably trying it out on his Barco and Seized P**N collection.

That's if he can work out what it is. I can just imagine some poor customs bloke trying to work out which of the many random import duties to sting you for. No doubt you will soon be finding out about scary black box tax.
On a more serious note, make sure you check the customs calculations carefully, when I imported a cheap multi format VCR I got stung for some random VCR tax as well as VAT but they also managed to include the shipping costs in the taxable amount. UPS refunded me pretty quickly once I complained.

John, everyone is watching this closely as the import tax calculation appears to be a black art...
The UK Distributor is also interested in what the final price works out as ;)
Regards Neil.
p.s. It's still in Customs
