nw-hd3 can't record

Hi, I have bought a Sony Nw_HD3 and it's great, EXCEPT I have a new CD sent to me from Greece (legitimate as far as I can tell) and it refuses to record. I simply get a message saying "CD Cannot be recorded" any clues?

Perhaps it's damaged or has copy protection. Or perhaps Sonicstage has just tripped over one of it's 10,000,000 bugs. It's a faff, but try http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/ to extract the audio. You can pair it with LAME to encode the MP3 as well, or encode the WAV files within sonicstage.
