HD Upgrade Warning!

I've just upgraded the firmware on my HD to the latest version. HD-5.6-1.42

When I followed my usual power up routine, my projector bulb blew the moment that I turned on my audio amp. As I followed the same routine that I do every couple of days and have since re-checked that all the connections are correct my concern is that the upgrade is the cause of this ( I don't believe in coincidence).

My projector is an Infocus LP350 and it is connected to the HD via DVI-D through a Lindy adaptor.

I have informed DVDO of the above. I know Infocus PJ's are'nt the best for bulbs reaching their full life expectancy.
