DV79 - Viewing jpegs

Hi,

Whilst using the DV79 to view photos, I managed to crash the player completely. It happened when moving from photo view back to the directory listing screen. It just totally locked. Remote didn't work, controls on the player itself didn't work. Had to switch off then switch back on again to continue viewing.

Anyone else have the same experience. Any suggestions?
Thanks,

Richard

Still no response on this. As I am keen to use the DV79 as a jpeg viewer from time to time, and advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks

did you manage to reproduce this bug ? If you could, then the engineers could fix that bug

My (very wonderful) AV Dealer has offered me a brand new unit - so I will test the new one when it is delivered. Many thanks to Steve of Audiofile Cambridge!

Hi,

Does your player crash when viewing standard dvd's?
i've recently purchased a dv79,and have not been able to watch a full film with out the crash/freezing problem you mentioned!(i,ve only tried dvd's so far-& it happened on the first film i watched).i have to turn the power off/then on again to get a response from dv79.

my dealer is trying to replicate the problem with his similar set-up,to see if its a faulty player.
