A REAL useful box . . .

I can buy a combi DVD/PVR HDD recorder.

I can buy a DVD/Receiver combo.

I can buy a Philips Streamium to connect my PC media to my TV.

I WANT to buy a DVD/HDD recorder and be able to use the HDD to store mp3's and Jpeg's . . . and I would love it if it had a built in 5.1 receiver/amp - it could even come with a woofer and some satellites.

Anyone know of such a mythical beast (outside of multimedia PC's) ?

Anyone else want one ?

Just looked . . . hadn't noticed the E500 has an ethernet port . . . any way to use this to allow streaming of PC media ?

Still not sure why I cannot write mp3's to the HDD, and play them via the E500 with no PC interaction.
