Amstrad Sky+ RGB problem?

I had Amstrad Sky+ box installed a couple of days &, in addition to the vertical banding, I'm also having a problem with RGB to a Sanyo Z3 projector i.e. an intermittent, distorted & unstable image.
Engineer came yesterday & swopped the box for another Amstrad but it made no difference. Strangely though, when I hook up the old SKy Digital box, an Amstrad drx100, it works fine.

They're going to try another box on Wed, hopefully a Pace but no promises from Sky.
Has anyone else had this problem or am I on my own with this one?
