Sky+ - choice of box

Hi all

Going to be ordering Sky+ direct from Sky over the next day or so but after reading some posts here, by all accounts the Pace 3100 seems to be a better choice over the Amstrad box.

Is there any way of making sure you get the Pace box or is it just pot luck in the box the engineer brings on the day?

Thanks in advance.

Unless the engineer has old stocks on his van, you are most likely to get an Amstrad box. Good luck

You'll probably get an Amstrad, but most of us with Amstrads don't get problems.

When I ordered Sky+ on Saturday I requested a Pace box to be installed. As the rep typed the info into his computer he said - "a Pace box has now been ordered for you".

How likely is it that I will actually get this Pace box?

Every chance - except that your reserved Pace might have an Amstrad badge on it
