Recording onto Sky +

I am having Sky plus installed next week
Does anybody know if you can record from a DVD or any external device directly onto your Sky plus box via the VCR scart

No, you can only record programs from the Sky+ box onto it's hard disk. You output to an external recording device through the VCR socket (although a lot of people here record from the TV out socket as that is better quality)
