Best place to buy Futronix P400

Hi

Does anyone know of any online retailers selling the P400 at a competitive price?

Thanks,

Steve

Steve,
I was going to suggest www.letsautomate.com, as that's where I got my P800 about a year ago. But on checking prices, Futronix themselves are currently quite a lot cheaper for the P400, ranging between £256 and £376 depending on finish.

I don't know of anywhere else unfortunately.

Many thanks.

After some more research, I've decided to go for a Lutron GrafikEye instead.

I think it offers greater flexibility and expandability for a fairly insignificant incremental cost over the Futronix.

Thanks,

Steve

OOPS! Bugger - We'd entered prices that we thought were ex. VAT for some dimmers when they should have been inc. VAT ... now fixed.

I've been told that the Grafik Eye is not IR ...

and that the main module is HUGE to put in the wall...

What makes Futronix any good?

Hi

The Grafik Eye is IR, and yes, it's a bit of a beast. However, I was more confident about the cooling arrangements. There is more room for wiring, and the Lutron is able to directly drive transformer loads.

Also, I felt the £100 price premium Futronix charge between the plastic and metal units was bordering on extortion!

Sorry, I meant:
Quote:
Lutron works on B&O remote codes. No IR control with a universal remote.
Was told this too:

Helvar for the high end, futronix are reasonable, under £200 for a 2 channel, £370 for a 4 channel. For Futronix you need a neutral at the switch box.

Hi

Lutron works fine with a Pronto.

Perhaps you mean it doesn't work with *some* universal remotes?

Have you got your blinds working with the Lutron too?

Did you fit it, or get somebody else to do it?
I take it you have got downlighters?
Were they there before... or have you put them in when fitting the Grafik Eye?
