Philips 36PW8719

Dear all,

Am new to this forum....looks great!!
Am looking for some advice.....want a large widescreen TV but unsre what to get....have been offered a Philips 36PW8719 for £890. Do you know whether this TV is any good and how does it measure up against it competitors? Does it matter that it only has two scarts?
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated

Cheers

Hello Dleungy and welcome to the Forum.

I'm not familiar with this particular model, but Philips is one of the leading brands so, as long as you're happy with the spec, I can't imagine you'll go far wrong.

When you say you've been offered this TV, is it brand new from a dealer?

Are you aware that you can get it for £40 cheaper? (See Kelkoo)

As for number of scarts, this will depend on what you intend to connect to it.

If it's just a STB (Sky or Freeview) and a DVD Player, then fair enough.

However, remember you'll have no room for additions in the future.

Also, for best picture quality, both Scarts need to be RGB capable.

Hope this helps.
