i've been searching around looking for the best price on the platinum extended version trilogy R1 due for release on 14 Dec and so far DVDSoon have come out best at approx £47.80 - but with the customs/vat/post office handling this comes out at £62.28 ish...

Has anyone found a cheaper place to buy it from - EnterprisesDVD dont have it listed yet or CDWow...

Do we know of any customs friendy R1 suppliers these days?

CDWow are customs friendly and so are Movietyme, you might want to consider getting it from one of them.

regardless of customs friendliness you'd be lucky to get a big box like this through.

I like www.dvdboxoffice.com.

Lord Of The Rings Trilogy: Special Extended Editions -- £80,40 with free shipping.

I take it you want the R1 version for the easter eggs on fotr and TT. the easter eggs are included on the r2 version of rotk I'm told (as it passed the 12 certificate)

I say this as game.net have the extended trilogy for £32.99

not bad for 12 discs.....

Well I want it for the easter eggs, the better quality boxes and there was, so I've read, problems with the sound on the R2 versions (not that I have ever noticed) but it will eradicate the 4% pal speed up as well...

Cheapest I've now found is Amazon.com - $78US + $7-$8 for expedited international shipping (5-10 business days) and worse case scenario it gets stopped and customes vat etc it will work out to be roughly £62 ish

DVDsoon comes out at around £68

I'll just keep my fngers crossed that it doesn't get stopped - but with Amazon it is more likely to than not...
