Adjustable desk stand for LCD monitor

Im looking for an adjustable telescopic desk stand for my 17" LCD monitor - ~8Kg, Vesa 75mm mount. The monitor needs to be stored to the side of the desk when not in use, then pulled to the center when Im working on it. Im a little concerned about the reach since the stand will need to be fixed to the side of the desk.

I've seen telescopic versions mail order for about £150+. Does anyone know where I can physically see an example or have any recommendations? I may be able to get away with a cheaper version.
