Which region is best for picture quality? I'd heard that the Region 2 has better extras but is this at the expense of picture or sound quality?

2, and maybe 4 have more extras, maybe r1 is only surround, check out www.rewind.org.uk (http://www.reind.org.uk) or .com or somthing
maybe its www.dvdcompare.com (http://www.dvdcompare.com) or other suffix.

R1 is DD 5.1

I'm pretty sure the R1 release is non-anamorphic. I've got the R2 edition and both the picture and sound are right up there!

R1 is anamorphic too.
Sorry, not trying to pick arguments or even claim that the R1 version is better than R2, just trying to provided what I know to be true :)
