:god: Hi all has anybody come across this optoma seems the hd50 dlp has been ousted by the sc50xf or soverign as ive seen it called. The major difference being its 3500 contrast ratio which i recon means a brighter image. Any thoughts or info on uk release?Id hate to blow 2 grand on old gear! hifibitz are you in the know?
regards to all

Sovereign is the US version of ThemeScene (both being Optoma Home Cinema brand names). So I would imagine what you are reading about is the product the Americans will get to replace their old HD2 DLP RPTVs, which'll be pretty much the same as the RD50 will be over here as far as I can tell.

Have read a review of one of the new american Tv's which had a very high brightness rating & he said that it suffered like a lot of new sets from a granulated sugery looking screen .
Sounded a bit like the Sagem HD 45 problem
Could this person be the forth owner of a Optoma RD set? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
