View Full Version : DD Virgin - DVD recommendations?
Just gone Dolby Digital via an optical cable from a PS2 to a Hitachi 36inch Widescreen TV. Difference from pro logic is awesome, even on this humble set-up.
Only DVD's owned are Saving Private Ryan and The Matrix - what other films do you recommend for the full sound experience?
Cheers,
Ken
Try The Fifth Elemant or U-571 both great sounding film's.

Ken,
You will probably regret asking this question - here's my list FWIW:
Drive, Any Given Sunday, The Mummy, Ronin, Jaws (DTS), Independence Day, Mask of Zorro, Mission Impossible 2, X Men, Three Kings, Heat and Shakespeare in Love (very subtle)
Cheers, looks like The Fifth Element is a popular choice - definately on the shopping list, along with most of the others.
Shakespear in Love ?? nice one Black - you nearly had me going there!
Regards
Ken

hehe....just dont do what I did and watch half the movie (5th Element) before realising it was in prologic! You have to change to dd5.1 on the menu before starting the film cos it defaults to pro logic.....and yes it does sound great in 5.1 http://www.wvip.co.uk/ubb/smile.gif
