I went to a local(ish) computerfair today and 1 stall had all 4 Star Wars films on DVDs.

Not VCDs, the box said wide screen, dolby digital 5.1, one even said extras included an interview with the director!

What's a boy to do?

How much were they? Many of us have obtained all 4 movies over the last 6 month's or so from a Malaysian outfit at £9 a piece INCLUDING postage. Be warned however they are worth owning for novelty value alone:
Image quality (non-anamorphic as per laser disc source) is marginally better than VHS but obviously super-stable
Audio is not as great as some would lead you to believe, again an improvement on the VHS DPL but NOT ANYWHERE near the official Laser-Disc 5.1 EX version.

They were £15 each, they also had the mummy returns, I don't know what the quality was like I didn't try.

Hopefully Mr Lucas will get his bottom into gear and release the real thing soon!

I was tempted though.

Depends on whether they used a Digital Camcorder or Hi8 at the cinema. :D
