Anybody noticed that mr Lucas has actually done something right in terms of the new DVD additions (other than releasing them of course). He's deleted lukes scream when he falls at cloud city.
One of my biggest complaints about the so called special additions

I always thought there was a classic line in that scene where he says 'No, you're not my father !', but now he just says something like 'no, it's not true'.

Or am I just going mad ?

In ESB when R2 has been spat out by the swamp monster on degobah luke used to say "you're lucky you don't taste too good"....now he says "you were lucky to get out of that one" or something similar - WHY?

Noticed a few one line changes for no apparent reason.

All will be sorted once lucas gets input and re releases all the films on either Blu ray or HD DVD.

Its a shame they didn't get James Earl Jones to record the dialogue in ESB where Vader says something along the lines of "alert my stardestroyer of my arrival" - it sticks out like a sore thumb. Surely if he's doing Ep3, he could have done this 1 line?

That line you talk about is my biggest complaint with ESB, truly does stick out and i hope they fix it next time, not like they didnt have 7 years since release of the 1997 versions to fix it but hey i'm sure it'll be fixed in time for the 30th anniversary releases.

The "alert my stardestroyer of my arrival" line is said by James Earl Jones. I think Ben Burtt said it was an alternate take of a line or a deleted piece of dialogue from A New Hope.

As are most the alterations in dialogue, simply alternate takes of lines recorded at the time which Lucas now wants to use.

I was not aware it was JEJ - I stand corrected!
