I had all the Buffy boxsets on video when the DVDs started to come out, so I desperately started selling my videos and buying the DVDs. But then I thought, man, I should have got them in R1 coz they're blatantly much more packed. Then I figured out they didn't exist. Why? Does that mean men in white coats in the US are currently buffing it up (that's not a pun) so that when it's released in R1 form, it's gonna be amazing, and once again I'm guttered? Or am I stupid and actually it's long been sitting comfortably on the shelves?

If you go to the dgital bits site, they have the full transcription of a q&a session with one the big cheeses at fox and the buffy boxsets came up a few times and his reply to `are they gonna be more packed than the region 2 sets` was no - maybe slightly diferent packaging but that was the only diference if any that would be made, apparently it`s all down to copyrights, etc that has made the region 1 sets take so long to get out and explained his frustration at being in the same company that makes the show but unable to release it,go check it out he also gives out some cool new titles in the upcoming schedule.

Hank,

The Second Season on R4, is also in Amaray boxes! Much better than the crappy R2 editions, with their oh-so-clever cardboard sleeeves that almost guarantee scratched discs!

That's what I thought! They boast a 'special crucifix shaped limited edition packageing' or something like that. Do you reckon they want to **** people off- i.e. arranging the cardboard so it takes half an hour to get to the bloody discs, rather than giving us the normal hard cases which look better on the shelf anyway. We really don't want a cruciifix in our collection!

I thought the boxes were ace (and getting the second season for £35 from amazon was nice too )

Much better than the normal boring cases, and I have not had any of the disks scratched.

Each to their own I guess, but I hope they keep on doing slightly unusual boxes
