Saw this tv in Comet in Paisley. Was running wmvhd demo. Incredible!
Any of you AV experts out there think its any good?

Or am I easily impressed?

It is impressive, excellent picture, i would probably wait though till more of these big DLP screens come out, Thomson and possibly Toshiba are about to release their range as well. At the moment the Sagem would be my firm favourite.
slightly worried about the 6000-8000 hrs lamp life quoted here (http://www.sagem.com/en/produits-en/axium-en/sagemaxium-tech-en.htm)
at my viewing rate that would mean only 3 years of fun......

btw, can you get a look at a normal sky feed and find out if it shows any rainbow effects ?

this very same subject has been mentioned in a couple of other threads, I was going to wait untill I had the money and get the sagem from comet online but then it dissapeared from their website, so I got the LG dlp set I had already got my eye on instead, so far I'm very very pleased with the LG and I haven't tried out the progressive scan component inputs yet, and it was £1,300 cheaper than the sagem.

LG is cheaper because it:
1) uses a lower resolution DLP chip (576p vs 720p on the Sagem)
2) has much fewer connection options available
3) reviewers have all found the picture not up to the standard would expect

On point 2) in particular, original sets had no component inputs and no VGA, therefore no prog-scan DVD and no HDTV when it (eventually) comes along. By the way Lion - you mention prog-scan component in you post. Has a component input been added to your model?
