Hello all
Just a quick update to say I now have the Atlantic Technology P-2000/A-2000 combination installed in the TV room so any questions on set-up, adjustment and operation please fire away and I'll try and answer as quickly as I can.
I've not pushed all of the buttons as yet so plenty more tweaking and fiddling to be undertaken :)
Best regards
Joe

Hello Matt
If your after hassle free Amplification for up to 7 Channels of Home Theatre the A-2000 is a great choice.
Installation and set-up are a breeze - once you get rid of the obligatory plastic bungs if your using Banana Plugs with the multi way binding posts.
There's a DC trigger for use with pre amps with an on/off remote trigger so once this is connected you never have to touch the A-2000 again.
The fit and build on the chassis is excellent with everything feeling solid and true and no flexing or movement when your positioning this heavy weight chassis.
I've had the A-2000 for nearly three weeks now and its been driving a variety of loudspeaker set-ups including my Anthony Gallo Micro, A' Diva and Due's along with Atlantic Technology's own 2200 and 2200/4200C systems with ease.
At no time has the A-2000 actually drawn attention to itself - it'll play at high volume levels just as readily as it does at lower volume levels (midnight mode on the AV Processor) where it stays pretty dynamic when watching movies and keeps dialogue 'outside' of the centre speaker.
Programme material has ranged from everything and anything on SKY - inc the footie, GP and cycling :) through to favourite Movie and Music DVD's and my eclectic collection of CD's.
I've also been running the system in 7:1, 2:1 and 2:0 with a pair of the NEW Anthony Gallo Reference 3 as Front LR and again the A-2000 has been happy driving these full range floor standing speakers (anyone wanting a speaker set-up that's good for Multi channel and Stereo must put the Reference 3 on your shopping list; I'm sure were going to sell a fair few pairs of these loudspeakers).
For just over £1K you get a fair chunk of well designed and warranted multi channel amplification in the A-2000 that so far has been an enjoyable listen with no obvious negatives.
Best regards
Joe

Joe, How do these compare with the big Denon, Yamaha, Pioneer, etc? Nick

Hello welwynnick
I find the AT system easier to listen to than an awful lot of the 'Big' Japanese kit - the AV Processor has less bells and whistles than you'll find on the likes of Pioneer and Denon but it does include the Cirrus Extra Surround modes if you want to try two channel sources via your full loudspeaker compliment plus LF management for DVD-A and SACD playback.
On Movies it works very well and its easy to follow dialogue - I've used these system in quite small and relatively large rooms and found they have enough power to drive most loudspeaker systems.
Given the choice I'd have the AT P-2000/A-2000 over pretty much any AV Amp/receiver I've listened too.
Best regards
