Hi,

I need to rewire an existing and very basic home distribution system.

The current install used very poor quality cable/connectors and the distribution amp decided it was time to expire !

All I'm looking for is very good quality RG6 caox cable, 'F'-type connectors and a new 6-way UHF distribution amplifier.

I've seen them in Maplins, Homebase, even Argos, but I'd like to install some decent equipment and do the install right this time.

Any ideas on suppliers of higher quality kit? or is the stuff sold in Maplins, Homebase, etc. just as good ?

Thanks in advance,
Stefan

Use CT100 co-ax cable, readily available in Hoomebase, B+Q etc although probably cheaper at somewhere like "Eurosat".

We use Channel Plus RF distribution amps. Much more expensive but great picture quality. They also have ability to carry IR information back down the co-ax to source equipment. ie Sky throughout the house with control from any location. Same with DVD.

Any specialist Hi-Fi shop that deals with VEDA distribution should be able to get you the parts you require.
