Tosiba 530 ntsc prog negud???

Ive read bad things about the Pal proggressive of the tosh, but ne1 got any comments on the ntsc (does it do ntsc, im not sure nemore)... as i got 1 cheap off a mate before reading these reviews..

got a ton of ntsc discs etc, usually buy from asia (cases look better etc) so no real need for PAL, but option would be nice. So how bad is it.. im not too fussy as my pj is a lil discoloured(slight yellow tinge on left side of screen-nec vt440, ne help on that wouldnt go a miss either) and i hardly notice it


using panasonic s75 for ntsc progressive scan on my pj at the mo so ne comparrisons against it would be helpful...


Should i sell on ebay n get a diff 1, or even stick with my pioneer 444 over the 530??

I have the SD530 and it gives very good PQ when viewing NTSC discs via Prog scan, but sometimes the player doesn't recognise the disc as being NTSC so the best thing to do is change the 'auto' detect feature to NTSC manually. Plus if your display doesn't accept Prog scan the player will show a blue screen with audio only.
