Question Which sub is best?

I am just starting to get into home cinema, and am looking for some advice on the following points.

I have recently bought the KEF KHT5005 speaker package that comes with the PSW 2500 sub. Will this be designed to work with the speakers more effectively than a different sub.

I already have a REL strata 3. Would it be better to stick with this, as it is a better sub? I bought the package because I liked the speakers performance & looks (experienced at various shows) and thought the whole thing would work better together.

Will I infact notice a difference at all?

Does is also depend on what other equipment I have?

I don't need 2 subs, so I need to decide which one to sell?

If you have both subs, test them - set each one up in your room and demo with suitable DVD and music material. Let your ears/bowels decide.

There is no tonal matching of a subwoofer to speakers so in theory any decent subwoofer will go with any main speakers equally well. The better the subwoofer, the better the overall sound will be.
