I have a Clarion head unit I wish to install in my new car. The car has a subwoofer, but the Clarion has no subwoofer outputs. It does have RCA outputs. So I could either
1) buy a head unit with sub outs or
2) buy a crossover, e.g. Audio Control 2XS
(2) is a lot cheaper parts wise, but I guess I would pay a couple more quid for fitting(!). e.g. 2XS 129.99, a Clarion DXZ784RMP 269.99 (less whatveer I get for my unit on ebay!).
Which way is likely to provide better quality? Anyone done this kind of thing?
