Can someone please help me connect it up?

Guys hope you can help.
Just ahd Sky digital fitted and need now to get the wiring/connections on my AV system sorted and tidied up. Sometime ago when I connected my DVD & amp I lost the ability to tape on my VHS just get a blue screen I know its not the machine as its the sam if I replace mine with my sons which I know is 100% ok. So i'm thinking somehwre along the line i've moved a scart lead and plugged something in where it shouldnt be. So I am gonna unplug every thing and start again. Can someone tell me the best way to connect it all please?

TV has 3 scarts
Satellite has 2
VHS has 2
DVD has 1
Amp has none (all via interconnect type leads)

Any suggestions?

IF I go

DVD to TV
SAT to TV
VHS to TV

Will they all be connected
ie
will I be able to record sat to tape even though

Connect DVD to TV via Scart 1
Connect SKY to TV via Scart 2
Connect VHS to TV via Scart 3


Connect second scart on SKY to second scart on VHS.
