Question Obscure cable question...

Does anyone know if it's possible to link two coax cables to one input (ie via a Y-shaped cable or a small switcher or something)?

Any help appreciated...

Yes, you can buy some from shops like tandy and maplin. you can get some good quality ones from maplins if your willing to pay a bit more than the standard one.

Thumbs up

Really? Great, thanks!

I looked through a load of cables at Tandy's the other week but the closest I found was a two phono-mic lead.

Guess I'll have to look a bit harder next time, thanks.

btw do you have the name of any of the better quality ones from Maplin as their web site usually loses me in the maze!

Oh and will using one of these lead to a significant drop off in audio quality (running DD through it) ie is it worth bothering?

Hi,

There shouldn't be a big quality difference, since it's a digital signal.

But I'm not sure how your receiver will react if you have both of your digital pliances on at the same time. Better avoid that.
