Anyone used a Palm IIIXE and prontolite with Sky +

Just wondered if anyone has used a Palm IIIXE Palm 8MB RAM OS 4.1 with Phillips prontolite software, as s/h palms are cheaper than multiremotes ?

If so what was the success rate as a few remotes dont like sky remotes.

Not quite.
I had a Palm Vx and Omniremote but Omniremote doesn't seem to want to learn the SKY codes.
The main problem though is the IR range. On the Palm Vx it was only good for around 6 - 8 feet.
I have since bought a Sony Clie T675 and the range is now around 20 feet ( depends on the device being controlled)
Still doesn't seem to like SKY codes though.

I have a trial copy of Prontolite so I'll test it out and post soon.

This is an interesting question. I would also like to know how well these PDAs work as universal remotes. Or is it still better to simply buy a Pronto?

I've tried a Palm and a Clie,and still much prefer my RC5000i to either,in terms of IR range and ease of use.
