Customs charge from CD-wow

Last week I ordered R1 Two Towers Extended edition from CD-WOW. Priced £19.99 but with vouchers etc I got it down to £17.49. Anyway, the postman shoved a note through the door yesterday saying they are keeping hold of it for me and there is £7.32 customs charge to pay.

I thought that customs didn't charge for items under £18 or will cd-wow have put the original price on the box ?

I'm rather annoyed !

The item was valued @ 19.99 - the fact you paid £2.50 of the price in vouchers is irrelevant.

BTW there is already a HUGE thread about CDWow and customs (http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=110249) - why did you start a new thread?

I started a new thread because despite doing a search for 'Customs' I didn't come across that particular thread. No harm done I'm sure.

FYI: CD-Wow will refund your charges if you tell them...
