Dollar exchange rate, why havent R1 DVDs got cheaper?

I am not sure how many of you notice currency exchange rates. Agreed not a very exciting subject. However the Pound Sterling to US Dollar exchange rate has shifted dramatically over the last few months. Its currently at $1.82 to the pound. Not long ago it was between 1.5 and 1.6.

So.... why havent R1 DVD prices fallen on import sites that charge in £s?


As a side issue Play.com no longer seem to link to PlayUSA.

They have if you get on to sites selling in dollars.

On the others like Play they would probably argue they don't increase their prices when dollar goes up ?

Increased profit for some for now - fact of life I'm afraid.
