Hi guys

Lyngsat is listing a Euro1080 promo on Sirius (4.8e, 12188H, 27500, 3/4). See http://www.lyngsat.com/sirius2.shtml

Whilst I receive the QVC channel on 12303H on the same sat, I cannot receive the Euro1080 promo.

Has anyone else been able to receive this?

Thanks
Andrew

According to this, my 1.1m dish should be more than adequate...

The plot thickens.

Certainly receiving it when present.
It's a good PC-video test , 34 Mbps last time I checked.

However, it isn't there right now !
(no signal and nothing on Ku-band spectrum analyser).

You would think the foot print would be round and not the shape in ajd,s second post. Why is this ??.

Is this promo in HD or in DVB? Lyngsat has it listed as DVB.

It's DVB-S (S means satellite with qpsk modulation) with HDTV video coding.
HDTV and DVB are not mutually excusive.
In fact Lyngsat does not have any special colour-coding for HDTV anyway.

Therefore, I am puzzled by the meaning of your question.

The channel is not present at all times (per my earlier post).

Sorry- didn't mean to confuse. Just wondered if it was SD or HD? The Astra feeds of Euro1080 are listed on Lyngsat as 'HD' whereas the Sirius promo is listed as 'DVB'.
