Hi

I bought mine from

http://www.dvbshop.tv/

It arrived in about a week.
You then use a program called progdvb from here

www.progdvb.com

Do a scan of Astra 19.2E and that should be it.

You can watch it with the bundled software as well (dvbviewer) but progdvb is more versatile.

hope that helps
Darren

How many bouquets and channels can this card store ? MY old Digiquest F1 has a limit of 1000 channels or 200 bouquets. All material will be encrypted from 2005 btw so you'll need a CA card costing 100 euro which will make the skystar 2 useless :-(

How many channels can be stored is a function of the software you use. It may be different for ProgDVB and, for example, DVBviewer.
I use DVBapps with my Twinhan & Broadlogic cards (doesn't support Skystar as these cards are not common in the USA).
The program reads a CSV-file (comma delimited Excel file) which doesn't really have any limits and is easy to modify (using Excel).

Details of my cards & a little about the s/ware are on Hans' website : http://www.dvbapps.com

(I am an alpha-tester & friend fo the author).

Should be still OK for loads of FTA programming.

Not to large an outlay either IMO - far cheaper than a set-top box.

I saw a FTA box for £69.95 but forget the site. I paid £220 for my Humax F1 a few years ago :-(

Does the Skystar display the bitrates for radio and also tv channels ? would be interesting to see the bitrates on Sky's radio channels (UK Sky digital)

Also I wonder if the SS2 decodes and displays the weather maps apparently broadcast over the hotbird sats ?
