Desktop stand not available for 42PMA500E [Archive]

I was about to order Hitachi 42PMA500E from NixNex website and called them just to confirm that they had a stock.

Then I was very disappointed because they told me that desktop stand for the model is not available from any UK dealer and only wall mount is available.

Does anyone know if this is true?

Surely you can just buy a stand from a third party company?

Or properly a 400e stand would fit.

It's part of NexNix Ltd where I heard the sad story.

BTW, how easy is it to install wall mount myself? Can anybody please comment?
