just watched the region 2 version of x men 2 dvd and i felt the picture was a bit squashed. (no its not because i was watching the amorphic transfer on the wrong setting on my tele). is it because the screen is listed as 2:40:1 insted of usual 2:35:1?
is the region 1 version any better?
i would be interested if anybody else noticed it

Most Anamorphic films which are listed 2.35:1 are in fact 2.40:1.
I have the region 2 Japanese version and never noticed any problems with this disc.

I also have the Region 2 (UK) 2 Disc release and it looked perfect to me.

I have the Uk version and the pciture does look a little squashed in a few scenes. But 99.9% of the film is fine.
The DVD is 2.40:1 which would make it a little wider/thinner than 2.35:1.

Is that the Tin Box SE ? If so I thought it was reg 3!
Anyway that version did not look squashed to me neither.

No the region 2 Japanese version, the packagaing was nothing special but i enjoyed the film and thats what counts at the end of the day.
I have the Tin Version of Total Recall it always worried me that if i left that tin near a window in the summer the heat would build up inside and damage the disc.
