Can anyone shed some light on where I can purchase a copy of Kurt's film - Dark Blue. I want the NORDISK R2 distributer version and not the UK R2 version.

I did find one dutch web site with it, but my understanding didn't stretch to ordering it from their web site as I did not understand what I was doing.

Andrew,

This is a Swedish site that supplies to EU (the biggest Swedish online dvd retailer, based in my hometown Gothenburg, not that I've lived there for the last 7years ;p). But it's all in Swedish and you have to register first to be able to shop and I don't know the delivery cost.

http://www.dvdnorden.se/product.asp?ProdID=5599&CtgID=

And this is a Danish site that supplies to EU (somebody here has bought from them, search on dvdoo, their info pages was much better and I found that delivery cost to UK is 29dkr per order, then another 5dkr per item)

http://www.dvdoo.com/dvdoo/film.asp?Command=11669

and here is the delivery cost table http://www.dvdoo.com/dvdoo/about.asp#8

John Rambo J wrote in a thread this This is the guide a friend of mine sent me when I asked him for some help. I've used it a few times and it works for me even though it seems a bit "basic". They use similar checkout software to most suppliers so you should be able to do OK. I sent Tee the same guide and he's not come to beat me up so I'm guessing he managed OK aswell. "Simple as sin... select "Kob" to buy... look to the left and you'll see what's in your basket. Then select the "T" word next to the piccy of a till. Then go through setting up an account and select the "G" word at the end. "

In 1year, the Swedish krona has strengthen a bit better than the Danish krone vs British Sterling, so you might win on ordering from dvdoo.

I've tried this site here: http://www.dvdzone2.com which is a Belgian (english) site I have used a lot and never had any problems with (except they aren't the fastest).
But they don't seem to stock Dark Blue yet...

dvddoo is easy to use.. its just the usual blurb.. the fact its not english is only a minor issue.

Whats so special about this release anyhow ?

It's just that I have seen a trailer for it and checked it out and basically it sounds like it's worth a look.

The Nordisk version happens to be the only one with DTS and with an action packed film it's a must.

I feel more comfortable with a site i understand.

seeing I am not getting much of a response I thought I would try dvdo site. I just worked out the price of the DVD at 199 KRoner that's about £19 excl Postage & packing. Good or no good I'm not paying £19+ for this...

Scandinavia is not a price competitive as other larger markets. If you think that Sweden has only 9million people and Denmark 5, thats not even a quarter of UK, and with high taxes, DVD's are usually more expensive. Just to let you know dvdnorden cost around £14.5 excl P&P.

Anyway, sorry I couldn't help you more. There aren't many scandinavians on this forum and I did searched through the 2 big Swedish forums trying to find ways for you to order it, but if you don't call that much of a response than, I can't do more for you.

Also you sounded in the beginning, you really wanted to get it at whatever cost, but you swung the opposite now that the price is known to you.

Ciao

mabe I gave the wrong impression, I really want the DVD, but not willing to be stiched up for it.

Completely forgot about the high taxation of th scandanavian's - I did know. I might just have to settle for a R1 or R2 version whichever is the cheaper.

I found and won on Ebay a R1 from USA for an unbelievable 99p plus postage from the states at £2.60.
There are true bargains awaitng on Ebay !! The Ebay guy has a very high excellent feedback rating.

If I ever do find the dutch version I can always sell this one on.
