Does the offer also include the "AV10" (as opposed to the High AV10. It's not mentioned in the list, but I am looking for an equipment stand of around these dimensions, so it would interest me in that case.
Thanks
Hi Senninha
yes it includes the AV10 just deduct the 10% off the rrp price.

Still getting phone calls concerning orders, thankyou for these, but could anyone please interested in the offers please reply to this thread, this will immediately qualify anyone for the exclusive discount.

Hi
Just to let you guys know we are at Bristol Hi-Fi Show http://www.bristolshow.co.uk/, as usual, at the end of February this year 20th-22nd that's - Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Held at the Marriot hotel, should be a nice busy show, we will have our STRATA enclosure http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=107254 running a PC into hi-def plasma to show people what the fuss is all about.
We will also have our Support ranges and Speakers on show.
Be great to see you all there on the first floor terrace right by the coffee shop and bar (yep - best spot at the show)
Cheers

Just a note to say that I have the High AV10 with chunky legs in cabinet form and it's an incredibly well made piece of furniture.
First time the missus hasn't moaned about me spending on kit!
Rod,
I currently have an Ultimate High AV Support, the best piece of furniture I've ever bought !
I'm thinking of complimenting this with a matching octagonal side table and also a single transitional wall support (for a Sony HS10 Projector) + Cable Management Housing.
Are these included in the current 10% off deal your offering member of these forums ?
George
George
Yep we can include these items for forum members. If you know what you want then a call to the office will secure the order.
I will be out of the country for a week from midday today but Trina can sort you out.
Cheers and thanks for the compliments always good to hear.
Rod
Just to let you know
I have now returned from my abroad and will be available to answer any questions.

Rod
Welcome back Rod,
Does my plan to use one of your Ultimate High AV Supports to support a Sony HS10 projector make sense ? From the Specs it would appear to fit the footprint and also within the weight limit for the shelf, I just wondered if you had seen one used in this role ?
George
Gedo
People have used the Ultimate Range for projectors before, certainly footprint and loading arn't anything to worry about (Ultimate Range takes over 2000Kgs even load weight according to British Standards)
I have attached a couple of pics of Projector cabinets we have supplied previously- etched (frosted) doors and sides hide the unit when not in use.
Hope this helps.
Rod
Here is a tower configuration.
Rod
I'd like to buy an AV stand for my gear
Pio AX5
Pio 868 DVD
Sky+
XboX
Pio 504 plasma media box
Will the Extended TV support be enough to carry the gear, or must I go for the AV10?
Regards
Emad
I'd like to buy the 'Ultimate Tower AV' unit, if it's included in your offer.
I will give you a call later.
Hi rod,
when extra shelves are added do they have to fit in the existing stand with different spacing, or would it result in a higher rack?
thanks
Anyone? I'm looking at buying a 7 shelf rack or cabinet.
Hi cj
apologies for not getting back sooner, just returned from the Bristol Hi-fi show, very busy and I appear to have nearly lost my voice.
All Stands Unique supports (except the Carbon Fibre Reference Range) have independently adjustable glass shelves to the nearest 25mm. Adding shelves is possible to add equipment, as long as the overall height of the equipment plus air gaps and glass shelf thickness do not add up to more than the upright used in the support.
We use three heights of leg 375mm, 500mm and 750mm.
Hope this clears things up
Rod
That's a shame - just worked out I need 8 shelves for a total of 1450mm :(

Rod,
Any chance of resurrecting this offer ?
Really fancy the Sound Tower Cabinet with Etched glass but its out of budget at the moment
Cj
Just returned from more overseas stuff, have you thought about our AV10 Tower which gives you 1500mm effective height but split in half so the equipment is side by side. Support measures 1095mm wide by 420mm front to back by 815mm high?
Cheers
Rod
duke748
Well we have had a meeting about keeping the offer going and have decided OK for March.
Cheers
Rod
Thanks rod - I'd not thought of that. Have you a picture of the AV10 Tower - there doesn't seem to be one on your site, or does it look the same as the High AV (only taller :)) Does it come with 2 adjustable shelves like the High AV 10?
cj
You're right it looks like a High AV10 but is taller at 865mm high with an effective adjustable shelf height of 750mm. This model comes with three adjustable shelves, so it's a five tier system effectively.
We can offer custom height uprights inbetween the 500mm and 750mm, although there usually is a cost implication for setup of machines.
Hope this clears things
Rod
Thanks rod - any reason why there's no cabinet option with this one? I have two babies that will be rather mobile before long :)
cj
We had to draw the line on some options so we only offer the more popular High AV10 as a cabinet - sorry. As you can appreciate we have a huge range as it is.
Cheers
Rod
Thanks rod - almost there now :) Just got to get the missus to decide on a colour. I'm pretty much decided on a High AV10 with chunky legs. Would like a touchlight dimmer too - I'm guessing I'd need an additional light unit, as well? Would also like a couple of Flex750s for cable management.
Is there a page on your site that shows all the colours side by side and up close? Thanks for being patient.
cj
Not at the moment but we are working on this for the future site.
Cheers
Rod
sorry I can't be more helpful.
Thanks rod - would a single touchlight dimmer be enough for the High AV, or would an additional linked unit be better?
cj
Try one for now, you'll be suprised how little light you need for a nice subtle effect to work through the glass.
Another can always be added in the future as the connector hub takes up to four additional light units.

Hi Guys (both genders)
Just to let you know we are letting the Furniture offer stretch into April.
Thanks for your support so far

Rod
Hi Rod,
I am interested in the following:
High AV10 with Chunky legs
Flex 750
Tower Socket
TV Turntable
Spike Feet
Mini Skirting
Touchlight
Additional light for touchlight
Can you confirm which of these items will qualify for the discount and let me know how to place the order?
Kind regards
John
Hi John
The Chunky High AV10 will qualify for the discount, but not the accessories.
All you need to do is phone 01933 412227 Stands Unique sales office and speak to Trina or Jennie to place your order, I will email them to let them know about this.
Cheers
Rod
Rod,
I'm interested in the High AV10 or the Ultimate High AV cabinet. I'm a bit paranoid when it comes to security. All my kit will be in the cabinet in my front room. So people can easily look into the room to see what's there. Could you possibly post a picture of either of the cabinets with etched glass with a black peice of kit in it? I just want to see if the cabinet will hide things away or not :)
Regards,
Jus
Hi Jus
I would do as you requested but my digi camera is in for repair. So here is an Extended Sound Support with etched doors and sides, it has a Sony Projector behind the glass.
As you can see it is still possible to see something behind the glass, if the equipment is moved back the masking effect is increased. BTW ir remote controls will work through the etched glass.

What's the chance of an international (well, BFPO) delivery on an Ultimate High AV with doors? I know they're heavy...
Gwynne
We have despatched to many countries all over the World, all the products are flat packed for ease of transit. Ultimate supports start at around 60kilos in weight so, yes, they are heavy making oversea rather than air the way to go.
We just need to know where you'd like the delivery and we can quote for transport. PM me to get the info.

Hi Rod,
Just a quick note to say that I took delivery of the High AV 10 stand yesterday and have to say that this is a fantastic piece of furniture. It looks absolutely stunning in my lounge, so much so that the misses has actually recommended this to her friends and she hates all this AV stuff.
The build quality is first rate and it arrived very well packaged. The stand is solid and houses all my AV gear no problem.
I must admit I was nervous about glass stands in the beginning but they are now well and truly rested.
Anyone that's looking for a first class piece of furniture and service that goes with it should buy from these guys, you won't be disappointed

Hi Rod
Does the 10% off also apply to the more basic 6mm stands or just the higher end stuff. I'm after the standard Sound Tower that's just under £320 on the site.
I'm afraid we have had to stop the 10% discount now from November through the 'season' as we have had upset dealers on the phone!
Sorry guys, but you'll have to see a dealer. We do have a selection of 'B' stock in our showroom here in Rushden, Northants - this could be discounted.
We also have some new exciting Plasma supports and a Pure Carbon Fibre range. I can post pictures soon.

We have a slightly awkward space and would need a slightly narrower cabinet than standard - is it possible to get an AV rack with glass of 86cm wide at the base and then 90 on the higher shelves (could be 86 the whole way up!)? Also do you do a wheeled option ?

Hi,
I was wondering if the discount is still going?
Either way I would like to get a quote for the following:
1 * High AV 10 Extended
I'm assuming this comes with three shelves?
That it can fit a 185mm high center speaker, 190 mm high amp, 85 mm high Sky box all on seperate shelves?
1 * Mini Skirting
1 * Touchlight
Would 1 touchlight be enough for the AV stand or would I need more?
2 * Smart Straps
Thanks in advance,
Brian
Hi Brian
Yep, the discount is still active, the High Extended AV10 is £649.00
which makes it £584.10 with discount. This is a four tier unit as standard
which has two adjustable internal shelves giving your three spaces. The internal heoght of the uprights is 500mm as standard which should just allow your three peices to fit with 20mm to spare.
Mini skirting is £19.99 for six metres which is £17.99 with discount.
One toughlight should be fine with the unit but up to three extra light units can be added at any time. £54.00 list £48.60 with discount
Smartstraps are £7.99 which is £7.19 with discount.
That's a grand total of £657.88
If you give the office a call tomorrow on 01933 412227 thay can take your order along with the finish, Natural Ash, Natural Cherry, Mahogany, Walnut or Black and then get the Support to you as soon as possible.

The list price is still £379.00 so with the discount that's £341.10 it comes with all the metal shelves required to store the DVD's. Price includes delivery within the UK mainland.

Hi Rod,
Two of the inner shelves from my ultimate high stand were shattered during
a shipment. I'm broken hearted, but hoping that your offering a 10%
discount on replacement shelves will lesson the blow.
I'm also thinking of getting one of those black covers for the centre speaker
area. Can you tell me how much this costs and if a discount applies here
as well?
Aside: Looking at the box, it is clear that the courier was pretty rough with
the shipment. Unfortunately, now that I look at the fine print, I see that glass
is not covered by the policy. I'm wondering if could claim that the courier
was neglegent. Any idea what it would take to
break 10mm thick glass? Anyone have any experience with a
neglegence claim?
Thanks very much,

Hello,
I am interested in the Ultimate Tower AV stand. I believe this can have upto 8 hifi separates in the shelfing area.
1) Please can you advise me if i can place 4 hi fi separates that are the following dimensions h-132mm, w-440mm, d-360mm (Weight approx 28kg each - total 112kg), and also upto 4 more separates at approx sizes same as above but height being approx 100mm (weight approx 36kg)and also a 50 in pioneer plasma (pdp-506xde - Weight approx 42kg)).
2) Also would the height be too high for correctly viewing the plasma screen? My line of sight would be approx 1140mm?
3) I have to watch the weight as i have all of this equipment together with my pc equipment and wardrobes and such in my bedroon. I believe the net weight of the stand is 60kg, is this correct?
4) FOR ALL MEMBERS - PLs read item 3 above. Have a got more weight in my room than is safe ie equipment too heavy and likely to break into the floor below. I have not all the equipment that i want yet but the weight in my room excluding me is approx Wall 1 - 290kg av equipment, Wall 2 - 220kg, Wall 3 100kg, Wall 0kg. Am i asking for trouble?? Any comments by structural engineers welcome - im serious. Room dimensions are approx 5metres by 4metres. Ok amn i weigh a dainty(not) 17 stone - ok start exercising now becuase i know what some of the suggestions may be ;-)
Many thanks

Hi, apologies for not getting back to you sooner with an answer concerning our closest match to natural oak. Our Natural Ash finish is often mistaken for natural oak by dealers so this would do nicely.

I've attached a dimensioned pic of the Chunky HighAV10 Support and Ultimate High Support, these have adjustable internal shelves to the nearest 25 millimeters so they are pretty flexible at taking all kinds of equipment.
The Ultimate has an aperture for a centre speaker but bear in mind that the space tapers to a point 340mm from the front edge.
Let me know if you need any more help.

Sorry to hear about your damaged delivery, can you tell me where the glass came from, was it from us? It does take an great deal to break safety toughened glass that we use, was the packaging original?
Cheers
Rod
MazterUK
The Ultimate supports will take 3000kgs even load so there is no worries of the equipment support not being up to the task. Your question concerning overall height is very valid, generally the HighAV Supports at 565mm o/a height work great with 42 and 50" Plasmas based on sitting on a sofa. We could make an Ultimate at a special height for you lower than the 750mm Tower leg height.
About the overall loading of your bedroom floor, I am pretty sure this will not be a problem if your building corresponds to UK building regs. but I am no expert on this so perhaps a view from an engineer??

Thanks Rod,
Is there any chance you can get one built that has three rows of 3 shelves?
I needed 8 shelves or so, in the style of the ultimate stand (i dont really need the centre speaker slot). The reason is that the weight of the stand and accompanying hi fi units will be dispersed more evenly as it has more support feet. I would feel more comfortable with the extra support feet and at three shelves the total height should not be too far from the 500mm optimal. Is there any chance of this?
Also if this is not feasible, how about if i got two hifi stands and put them together, would i be able to bridge the gap between them so that i can put the plasma bang in the middle ie where the gapp between the two stand would be? If so which stands have the 20mm glass??
Can you suggest anything else?
Sorry about the many question but i need to make sure the stand(s) will do the job as they do cost a bit and i simply cannot and do not want to make a mistake.
Many thanks.
Regards
Maz

Hi Maz
The 'Ultimate' Range is designed as a symetrical design which can only be as a pair with an aperture for an upright centre speaker in the middle - this is the concept which cannot be changed. Your centre speaker must be able to fit in between your equipment in this aperture.
Have you considered mounting the centre speaker above the plasma on a wall shelf? This would effectively lower the necessary height of the equipment support and the plasma and enable you to go for an HighAV10 design possibly.
I really would not worry about spreading the load on feet, these supports will easily take 500 kilos per shelf.

Hello Rod,
Last question before i purchase (honest).
What is the actual net weight of the ultimate tower stand and the ultimate high (excluding the packaing it comes in ie actual unit)?
Many Thanks
Maz
Hi Maz
I just need to point out something rather important for the special powerbuy offers to continue, going to one of our dealers after discussing requirements at length on the forum and then pressurising the dealer to give discount based on what we offer on the forum is a complete no-no. We did actually have this situation occur a year or so ago where someone from the forum was visiting a dealer and asking the dealer for the 10% off or better.
Consequently, we withdrew the forum powerbuy, our relationship with the dealers is very important, it has been forged over 16 years of business - we do not want to upset them.
The powerbuy offer is there to support the members of the AVforums and the discount is purely available through this forum via Stands Unique.
I offered to absorb extra costs in a custom made support based on a sale via the forum, to us, through this thread, we endeavour to answer any questions you have but anyone liasing with a dealer should divulge this initially.
Please direct any more of your questions to the dealer, any 'specials' and additional costs will have to be sorted via the dealer incorporating their well earned margin.

Hi Rod,
Having been very happy with the Sound Tower Cabinet I purchased over two years ago from one of your dealers, I just placed an order with your office last Friday for a second Sound Tower Cabinet with Chunky Legs and a bunch of accessories. The total order value was £745 and was placed directly through your office as we have recently moved to a new house in a farily remote location so are not anywhere close to a dealer.
You can imagine my reaction when I stumbled across this thread tonight! Can I be very cheeky and ask if you would consider applying the discount retrospectively even though I have already placed the order given that it has yet to be completed? If so, I can PM you my details.
Regards,
Scot

Hello Rod,
May i clarify my honesty and integrity in case of any idea's to the contrary anyone has.
I heard about the 10% offer from a friend, who in turn heard from someone else. They did not know where this offer was from so i asked (as i was also interested in buying some Meridian kit and a Pioneer plasma) a dealer. I had recieved shoddy service from this dealer, but for the fact that i had dealt with them before i decided to speak to them again. The dealer i spoke to started to rant and rave, and advised me that there was no special deal from anyone ref 10%, then said ok he will give me the 10% and he will reclaim any money he loses out from Stands unique. I advised him that i was just thinking about it at the moment (as i got worried that i may done something wrong somehow and also that their level of service was poor and i was made to feel like the dealer was doing me a favour and how grateful i should be) and that i will get back to him. This was in december 2005.
I then saw this thread and dealt with yourself and Trina at Stands Unique. I realised after reading the thread that i should not have spoken to the dealer about this offer as obviously it was direct with yourselves. I came upon this information too late.
When i came to purchase the item i spoke to Trina and advised that i had, quite unknowingly, asked a dealer to do the 10% off. Trina advised me to do the deal via the dealer as they dealer had 4 branches and did not want to upset them, which i did.
As i stated previously the dealer did not provide good service in my opinion, everything was a struggle with them, it was as though they were doing me a favour just by speaking to me. I was extremely nice to them and did not say one bad word to them about their service levels. I paid the dealer for a stand as per instructions from Trina with the 10% discount the dealer said they would give. Preivous to this you (Rod) had advised me that you could reduce the height of the stand, i advised the dealer about a reduction in height for the ultimate tower. The dealer advised as it was something i had spoken to you about that i should deal with yourselves and get this sorted as he did not want to get involved. This is did when i spoke to Trina. When i spoke to Trina she advised me i would be charged for the height reducton, i advised her that you had said it would be free of charge and to check this so i could complete the transaction. I then asked the question of weight of the two units i was interested in via thios site. The nest thing i know i have been advised that i have been very naughty and tried to pressurise the dealer. As stated i asked for the 10% before i realised that i was not have dealer contact, i also asked the dealer to give some banana plugs free with the purchase of the stand which agreed to, but not before advising that this was the reason other retailers are going bust and making me feel really bad about the whole deal. If they did not want to give them then they should say so instead of advising that they were better than every other store.
-------------------------------------------------
I did not know, initially, that the deal was through this site only.
I advised before purchase that i had, by mistake, spoken to a dealer about this and was advised to deal with the dealer direct.
I assumed when i had been communicating with you via the website, that Trina had advised you, that i was then purchasing the unit from the dealer.
The dealer did not want to get involved in the deal and quite specifically outlined his role as "here to do the transactione only" ie take the money only and to deal direct with stands unique for any queries.
I did not do anything morally nor ethically wrong in any manner. I am all for keeping business with local retailers and have been quite a follower of this for most of my adulthood. Each time i have been to this dealer i have been treated as though they were the customers, that iu should go out of my way for them to do the least amount of work for them. I have tried for quite a few deals to send the business their way but they always advise me that each item i have seen must be wrong or from a company that does not provide as good service as them. For example, i wanted 50 inch poineer plasma TV, i asked the dealer to price match a local shop to me that was doing it for £3350 as a special price, the dealer advised me that they could not do it for that price, then they could but for the plasma only and not the speakers or stand. Withe the speakers and stand they wanted £3750 and the dealer made out they were doing me a real big favour. This £50 off the current retail price. Now, i would have paid them upto £3500 just so that it came from a dealer but they did not budge at all. In the end i purchased the plasma from John Lewis with 5 years guarantee. There are other dealers doing the plasma at £3.5k, my local tv shop was selling it for £3350, this dealer said yes we can do it then said actaully for the plasma itself and by the time they had come back to me with this info the speaical deal was gone from the local tv shop. The dealer advised me that £3350 was trade price and they could not do it, how would this be possible if a little local tv shop can and do, when the dealer has 4 branches.
If this dealer goes bust, then it serves them right, i cannot quite adequately explain the attitude and yes greed, that this dealer had, it was quite literally me me me from the dealer. I was not happy to get the stand from them but as i had been advised to do this i went along with it. I have been to other dealers years agoand not recieved as shoddy service as this.
And Rod please do not take this rant as anything against you, you have provided good service and have gone out of your way to to help me. I really appreciate this and also appreciate the fact that Stands Unique have a "human face". Many many thanks to you for your help and your time.
If i have rocked the boat for other forum members i am sorry, it was done unknowingly whilst i thought i was playing ball with everyone and i assumed that everone was aware of what was happening. It was never my intention to cause any problems for anyone nor cause the possible loss of this deal for other people.

Hi Rod
Little on this thread in the last few months....are you still there?! Hoping to sort out a slightly low Tower AV (& not too fussed about discounts etc as I've not found anything else to approach the stand I need)....and encouraged by some of the threads above but have only seen the flexibility about trimming the 750mm in this thread and not via any dealers mentionned...
happy to liaise via Private message, email (daveroyt@pearlmedical.co.uk) or phone using your no above..
Many thanks

Sorry,
The thread is "Stands Unique Audio-Visual furniture offer.
It is not just about one website (yours probably). As far as I am concerened this item
http://www.artisanglassproducts.co.uk/HomeProducts.asp
complies with the above.
It's a unique visual stand not like all the others out there! That's why I got one!
Sorry if this upsets other suppliers but that's life.
Er Darren
This thread is for our companies - 'Stands Unique Limited' product, we are manufacturers NOT resellers, and do not sell anyone elses product. If you read the thread you will see this, the thread was started about a special offer direct from us to forum members.
I hope you can see our point of view now, if we were suppliers of all knids of equipment supports it would, of course, be different.
Anyway nough said concerning this, but it is best to be clear on things so others know where we are coming from. Maybe post your own thread on this product you are so impressed with, but we are well know for producing product that is 'unique' for over 16 years now - hence the name!

Hi Rod!
Was wondering if you had any pictures of a 6mm Midi Tower with etched glass anywhere on the site. I'm a big fan of your furniture, the 6mm Sound Tower in Natural Ash in particular (it'd go really well with our Ekornes Stressless Sofa:thumbsup: )
I'm trying to convince the wife at the moment and was planning a wee trip around the various shops in Glasgow that act as resellers, in the hope of convincing her, but that has been bombed out by a bout of pre-eclampsia and the 8 week early arrival of our first child, Lucy....
Anyhoo, all other considerations are now waylaid and I'm desperately trying to get the house in order for the Royal Arrival  (She's still in the Special Care Baby Unit as she was so early, but doing well:clap: ) So the only spare time I have is an hour before bedtime so t'Internet is my only way of convincing the wife it's the way to go.
A picture would go a long way (as would a cost, including delivery, if I may be so bold). I've noticed a few people have phoned your office, but this is a bit awkward at the moment, as we're in the SCBU all day.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
Regards,
Chris, Claire and Baby Lucy!

Hi Rod,
I'm looking at the Ultimate AV stand once again, as I now have a large screen (46") DLP TV.
A couple of things though. I have a centre speaker with 'non-standard' dimensions (480x250x200) and DLP TV (1100x350x800). Do you think these will fit ok within the allocated space?
Judging by the dimensions and design of the stand, I think the TV may well require rubber feet and the centre speaker will stick out.
Regards
Mark
Hi Chris
apologies for not getting back to you sooner, for some reason I didn't get the update email informing me. We have just updated the main web site at www.standsunique.com with a load of new pictures, but I think there are no specific pics of a natural etched midi tower.
If you need help on availability etc. or who has what to look at just call the office on 01933 412227.
cheers
Rod
Hi Mark
I've quickly modelled the sizes in 3d for you in these pics, to give you an idea. The views are accurate, the DLP fits fine, you may need a couple of flush fixings at the rear if you want to push the display back further. The Ultimate comes with one flush fixing for the centre capping, hidden under the display. Your centre speaker, however, is a different story due to the triangular aperture in the Ultimate your speaker would, as you say, protrude too much. Have you though about using one of our Klarity centre speakers (plug ...plug) they do integrate well in to other manufacturers speaker systems.
Let me know if you need any more help.
Cheers

Hi Rod,
Thanks for the response.
It would appear as though the DLP TV fits like a glove on the Ultimate AV stand?! The centre speaker does not bother me too much as I intend to replace it anyhow. A Klarity centre would seem to be a sensible alternative, as it would definitely fit in the space!
Therefore, please 'quote me happy' for the Ultimate High with Klarity Centre.:)
Regards
Mark
Hi Mark
Yep the DLP was almost made to measure or is it the other way round!
The Utimate High with standard legs as shown in visual is listed at £720.00 or £849.00 with the larger Chunky legs - check out the web site at: http://www.standsunique.com/productrange/support/hifi/ultimate.htm
The Klarity centre is £389.00
The special forum discounted price would be 10% off - making £998.10 for the standard leg version of the Ultimate high with Klarity
and £1114.20 for the Chunky Ultimate High with matching Klarity centre with the discount.
The hardwood used on the baffle of the speaker is identical to the hardwood used on the Ultimate so they will match perfectly.

Hi rod, is this offer still on?
Im very interested in the Extended High AV10, are you able to do this in the cabinet option (grey glass) with chunky legs? If so how much would this cost?
Also, what depth of equipment could this accomdate?
Im also interested in some accessories, namely 1xKiddie Cabinet (guess who has a crawling baby now!), 1 shelf support uprage, 2 Carbon Isolators (13mm) and a Flex Cable Management.
If the offer is still on are these included and how much for all in total.
Many thanks

Hi Barry
The 10% offer is still on. Unfortunately we do not produce the Extended AV10range anymore and never have never produced a cabinet due to the doors being just too large for the fittings we use. I will get the office to check if we have any Extended AV10 glass left in stock though, if you are interested in an open design?

Hi Rod,
I'm looking for a 5 shelf hi-fi stand. I would need internal width of 450mm for each shelf. One of the pieces of equipment is a Sony CDP-CX455 400 disc multi-changer. Because it holds 400 disc's it is very deep, being 537mm. Do you have anything in your range to suit my requirements? It is possible for the CD player to overhang at the back by approx 70mm.
If you have something suitable, can you deliver to N. Ireland? Any idea on delivery cost?
Thanks in advance.....
I'm hoping the Sound Tower 10 will work for me.
Hi Dony
Apologies for not getting back sooner, I didn't get a posting. We do have the Extended Range of supports, specifically for your type of kit.
see:
http://www.standsunique.com/productrange/support/hifi/extended.htm
The Extended Sound Tower 10 should work well with a shelf depth of 480mm for the internal shelves and 570mm for the structural top and base.
http://www.standsunique.com/productrange/popups/dimension_extendedsoundtower.htm
If you need to place an order then just phone the office on 01933 412227 and state you are from the AVforums to get the 10% discount. Trina will work out the delivery cost to N. Ireland for you.
If you need more advice just come back to me.

Hi Rod,
I am just registering my interest in the following.
- Ultimate AV Cabinet – walnut standard legs with smoked glass
- Ultimate Spike Feet
- Ultimate Kiddy Cabinet Kit
- Backlight option
(a) What is the lead time for delivery ?
(b) Can you give me more detail on the backlight option, do you think I will need more than one light ???
(c) Can you give me a price for the above requirrement ?
(d) What payment options do you have ?
Cheers,
Ed
Hi Ed
The Ultimate AV (440mm high with two adjustable shelves/ six tier and two doors) is quoted as 7-10 working days from receipt of order.
The backlight option, using the 'Touchlight' system depends on how much light you feel comfortable with because it is a touch dimmable system the level is adjustable. It depends on the actual install, some people are fine with using the one strip light attached to the rear of the centre leg. I would say try it out with one fitting first, as it is an effect light you may find it adequate especially on the lower Ultimate AV. Additional fittings are easily added if required.
The rrp of the Ultimate AV Cabinet with standard legs is £729.00 with your 10% discount it comes down to £656.10
The Kiddy cabinet kit is £19.99 making £ 17.99 with discount and the spike feet we would be £9.99 for the seven required.
The Touchlight system is £54.00 less discount £48.60
That makes a total of £732.68 including VAT and delivery within the UK mainland.
If you would like to proceed with the order just give Trina or Mark a call on the office number 01933 412227 and they will sort you out, we accept most credit cards (but not Amercian Express) and Switch.
If you need any more advice just come back

Hi Rod
This may well be the answer to my av prayers! Have been searching for a rack that can accomodate most/all of the following: Denon 2307 receiver, Denon 2930 Dvd player. Monitor Radius 225 centre speaker, XBox 360, Sky HD box and (eventually) a PS3. I think the High AV10 might be the answer. What do you think? It's a bit more than I intended spending on a rack but may well be worth it, esp with the 10% offer. What's your delivery time on these?

Sorry about not getting back to you with an answer before Christmas, I missed your posting, if it's not too late there is a picture of a grey tinted cabinet here http://www.standsunique.com/productrange/support/hifi/index.htm
and also on the top of the Ultimate page, the doors are tinted grey to make the equipment less visually obvious.
Hope this helps

Hi Rod
I acquired a 6mm Sound Tower second hand some time ago and the guy who sold me it swore that it was sold to him as oak (or at least an oak finish).
I'm now seriously considering getting some decent AV kit and will need an appropriate stand. Since we liked the sound tower so much, something to match would be ideal - but clearly you don't do an oak finish any more.
I noted your comment earlier in this thread that your dealers thought that the natural ash finish looked like light oak, but from the pictures on your website, the natural cherry appears to be closer to what I've got (to complicate matters, the pictures of natural cherry kit on your printed brochure have a much stronger red tint than my support).
Ah, the joys of trying to match colours!
Did you ever do an oak finish (I believe my Sound Tower to be 12-15yrs old)?
If you did, is it possible to order new supports to match this old colour?
Do you issue your dealers with a sampler? Last time I went into my local dealer I think he only had your brochures...
Many thanks

Hi,

Hi
I've been looking at the 10mm sound tower. I have an lcd mounted on the wall behind where it's going to sit. Does anyone think reflections from the top shelf will cause an problems? Obviously it's not going to affect things electronically, but it may cause some annoyance.
I've seen one the Stands Unique website about grey and etched glass, which may solve the problem, but is that available for shelves, or is it purely an option for cabinets?
Thanks,
Tim.

Hi all and dpsonsford
It seems I have had a problem with being informed about new postings on this thread, the first one I have seen is dponsford about lack of replies.
Apologies for this, we do take all enquiries seriously and try to get back as soon as we know about them.
In answer to dponsford, we do not currently have any dealers with one of our Cable Towers in London, it is hard work, these days getting any dealers to take accessories unless a customer requests them.
The build quality on the Cable Towers is extremely high, the aluminium extrusion used is the same as on our Levitate Plasma Support.
I realise it is difficult to really appreciate the product unless seen 'in the flesh' but if I can reassure you of the quality.
cheers
Rod
Hi BobHarris
Hopefully you are still interested in the High AV10 support as mentioned.
The thickness of the legs, being solid kiln-dried ash hardwood, at either 45mm or 60mm has no real effect on the load bearing strength of the unit.
The AV10 range can take 500kilos even load on each shelf.
In answer to the grey glass question, all support structural glass (top and bottom) and adjustable shelves are supplied in the clear glass (which actually comes across as deep green on the edges). It is the cabinets sides and doors which have the option of either grey, clear or etched glass.
Hope this clarifies things for you (and is not too late!)
cheers

Same sentiments for this posting about delays in getting back.
Good point this, the reflections in the top piece of glass would annoy me if your viewing position is high enough to be able to see the top of the support.
On a low support such as a AV10 this is much more noticable.
Are you going to be on a sofa? If so I think the overall height of the Sound Tower at 865mm would mean you would not see any reflections.
If you think it is a problem we have etched structural glass (at extra charge) for customers who desire it in the past.
Let me know

Hi Bigstevex
The Kara centre will fit into all of our Ultimate range, what is the Ultimate support you have?
The only possible issue is, on a higher Ultimate High support the aperture for the centre is 500mm and the Kara is less than 375mm (to fit snuggly into the Ultimate AV range). i.e there will be a large gap above the speaker on a higher support.
Let me know.
Best thing about the Touchlight is to call Trina on 01933 412227 to see stock availability.

I have the normal ultimate, not the high one.
I was going to use this with some monitor audio rs8 as the floor standers but it seems i'm being told not to mix front speakers, any advice?

Rod,
If possible could you give me a price for a High AV10 with standard legs, a flex cable management and a tower socket please.:smashin:
Hi Bigsteverx
This is good news that the Ultimate you have is the standard low level height. A Kara would work ideally in this height unit - fits like a glove.
As far as working with main surround Monitor Audio RS8 units this shouldn't cause a problem with our speakers. They are only a 6 ohm load, which should work ideally with your speakers. Being Kavlar based this should help as well.
Over the years, we have been supplying hundreds of customers with your type of setup, if you have any more questions please do not hesistate to ask.
Cheers

Got my stand and other bits delivered on Monday as promised. Am chuffed to bits with it (although I have discovered you need to be extremely careful with the wood when you assemble it).
Well worth the investment as this is going to last for years.
Can highly recommend the flex cable management system for hiding all your cabling.
Thanks Rod

Hi Rod,
I've had an AV10 stand for a few years now and I think it is ace, great quality etc etc. Unfortunately the finish of the legs now clashes slightly with my kit and decor can I ask you to quote me for the following (if possible):
Replacement legs for my AV10 in carbon fibre
Replacement legs and extra shelving to turn my AV10 into an AV10 high. Legs again in carbon fibre finish.
A levitate plasma stand with carbon trim if possible to match above.
Perhaps you could also indicate current lead times for these items.
Thanks in advance.
Alexander

Hi Rod,
I am quite impressed by the look of your companies furniture. It looks to be just what my soon-to-arrive Onkyo 905 needs. Can you please give me a price for the "Extended Chunky Support Cabinet" in grey glass, mahogany finish and a set of pretty little spike feet?
Many thanks,
Bobdk
The price for a chunky extended sound support cabinet with mahogany uprights and tinted sides/doors (hwd. 565x770x570) is £609.00GBP. With the forum 10% discount the price would be £548.10GBP. The spike feet are £8.99GBP a set. If you wish to place an order it is best to do so via Trina in the office. You can contact her on 01933 412227 or alternatively email her on trina@standsunique.com
When you contact Trina just let her know that you have been in contact with me via the forum.
Hi Rod,

Hi Rod
I am after one your Levitate freestanding plasma supports and also an AV10 High supports with the Spike Feet accessory, in a Cherry finish. What is the lead time for these items?
Many thanks
Sean
Hi Sean
The lead on AV10 Supports is up to 14 days but the Levitate, unfortunately, is out of stock and we are considering not to continue production due to rising costs on this particular range, it's simply too expensive to make in the UK.

Hi Rod,
I'm in the process of looking for a stand to accomodate my forth coming Pioneer 428XD, existing centre speaker and xbox360. I'm looking at the 6mm TV support you do as a possible candidate. Could you let me know the height the shelf is at when the unit sits on the spike feet? I'm trying to ensure that I get the screen at a comfortable viewing height and that my centre speaker, which requires 17cm of height, is suffuciently clear of the floor.
thanks stephen
Hi Stephen, apologies for not replying sooner I missed your posting.
The overall height of a 6mm TV Support is 440mm you can get more detail from our web site here
http://www.standsunique.com/productrange/support/hifi/6mm.htm
simply click on the picture of the TV SUpport to get dimensions etc.
Hope this helps

Does anyone know what the handling weight of the shelves is on the AV10 Towers. ie will the shelves and little brass holders take the weight of a very heavy AV amp ?
Ajsmcr
Hi, the weight capacity on these supports is 250 kgs even load, the more bulky amps out there are around 25-35 kgs.

Hi Rod,
Is it possible to replace the wooden legs with the new Carbon Fibre legs? Or are the holes in the glass too wide a diameter? If so, could you PM me a price for replacing the legs on a Chunky Sound Tower 10 please?
Thanks,

I am thinking off buying either the Midi Tower or the Compact Sound Tower and was wondering if you have any photo's of what these look like with Etched Glass Cabinet style?
Hi tommy_banana
We have no actual shots of a midi tower or compact tower at hand but there is a picture of a projector tower in etched glass here http://www.standsunique.com/productrange/furniture/furniture.htm
just scroll down to the icon of a projector tower.
A little imagination is required here - sorry.
I will have a look at unused pics from years past, there may be something from peoples installs, ie: pics that are sent to us.

This may not be the correct place to post but seeing as it is the biggest Stands Unique thread here I will ask.
Has anyone else been put off by the atrocious marketing of the Stands Unique products, which particular regard to photo availability and a website that is all jumbled together?
I was looking on the website at the compact TV support and there is not one full product photo on the relevant page. I wanted a photo of this particular unit in both the chunky leg and normal versions so i could decide which to go for, so sent them an email. The response to which was basically 'look around the website for something similar'. When I pressed further I was told 'the only photos are on the website'.
Come on Stands Unique, you are trying to sell a product and can't even get a photo of it? Why have you not built up a database of photos of the available options? Why can you not get me a photo of the relevant product when I ask for it?
It seems to me that your poor marketing is losing you sales. I certainly won't be buying one with the current information that is available to me.:thumbsdow

Try clicking on the picture of the 'Compact TV Supports and Cabinets' section
here:
http://www.standsunique.com/productrange/support/hifi/compact.htm
It shows you what a Compact TV Support looks like and shows secific dimensions- As do most of the picture links - by simply clicking.
Let me know how you get on.
And Yes I agree 'this may not be the correct place to post'

Hi Rod, I'm after the cable flex management system. What's your best price delivered within the UK? :smashin:

The Flex Cable Management is normally £39.99 plus carriage.
You would get one at 10% off which would be £35.99 plus £3.62
totalling £39.61.
Call Trina on 01933 412227 to place an order.
By the way these will be going up in price along with all items in our range very soon, as we haven't put our prices up for over four years.
