Just ordered a Pentium 4 2.4. and an Asus p4p800 VM mobo to upgrade my system. Current mobo is an Asus CUSL2 running a Celeron 900. I have a Q Techonology PSU which I bought form QuietPC a couple of years ago and is still silent now.
I hear that a PSU has to be P4 compatible. What does this mean and will mine be OK? DO I need any special connectors or anything. The Current 300W PSU's on QuietPC's site say they are OK but mine is a bit older.
Just wondering if I need to get a new one as I need to order a new P4 cooler (Zalman 7000) and might as well get the new PSU at the same time. Any ideas?
Cheers.
