Yes, you've just got to spend a bit of time finding a proxy server that Microsoft haven't banned.

Not sure it's worth it. If they want to cut Europe out of their market it's their loss.

The picture is worth it, I can promise you. Really it's Europe’s loss as for some reason we aren’t deemed worthy enough to be allowed HD. I think Microsoft need to learn from this release as the DRM and sloppy interface detract from what is an excellent product. If all hidef WM9 releases were like T2 the WM9 format wouldn’t stand a chance.

Can anyone post or PM me a proxy server that Microsoft haven't banned? I've got the WM9 version of Standing in the Shadows of Motown that I can't play.

Its not Microsoft that caused the problem with T2 WM9, rather it was the Studio that owns the movie who insisted on this particular method of copy protection. Microsoft are only doing what they have been asked to do and even they recognise the problems that have been caused, even folks in the US have had major difficulties in getting the license.

I just got Standing in the Shadows of Motown (shame the WM9 is not really HiDef). I managed get the DRM to work correctly by using the proxy:
nts.rangenet.com port 3128
This was on Friday, so it might still work. I got the address from:
www.publicproxyservers.com

No, you'll need to purchase the Region 1 DVD for the full film.
