am using a basic non-prog dv 88 and have noticed on the odd ocasion drop out on the dts sound-track am using v1.81 software and lt 37 software were ther any later up-dates for my arcam now that it is no longer available

1.81 is as high as it goes with the vaddis 3 chipset which you have.Would have to upgrade to 88+ with vaddis 5 chipset which is about £400 i think and that has 4.12.
there is apparently some unauthorized LO firmware but I do not think it would help. They simply make those dropouts - fullstop.
With some processors it is not so obvious, with the others (Meridian, TAG) very obvious.
I think drive upgrade is not too expensive, give Arcam helpdesk a call.
