just started to use this for dvd playback,seems to run o.k but very slightly jumps from time to time,any ideas as to what this could be,any info would be great

Could be using the wrong refresh rate for the source - try 60hz or 72hz for NTSC and 75hz for PAL.
Is this on a projector or monitor?
Quite a lot of projectors run the panel at 60hz anyway, so PAL sources may 'jump', especialy on panning shots.

Could be just the refresh rate that needs adjusting then.
I assume you have a 1ghz or better cpu? If you run less than around 700mhz, then it may be insufficient processing.

Hi ian,
Did you just download this or is it available to buy. I had previous powerdvd that came with pc worked but no DD so I thought I would have to pay for upgrade,

Are you using WinDVD5? Does the picture "jump" on or around chapter changes? I had a similar problem and discovered that it was a well known issue which had been fixed in the very latest version.
