Just discovered online dvd rental.

Does anyone belong to one?
How do they work and what are they like?

From my initial look it seems ok,

£10 a month (no contract) to rent 1 at a time.

Rent it, watch it, return it and rent another.....

All sent 1st class.

Opinions???????

I used www.dvdsontap.co.uk for about four months, never had any problems with them gettng about 1.5 to 2 DVD's a week. they send first class with a first class return envelope.

But have a search through this forums this has been discussed before.

Have belonged to http://www.viewdvd.co.uk/
for several months. My deal costs £120 for a year, with 2 discs out at a time.
After an initial problem with a couple of faulty discs I've had excellent service. The new discs are sent by return of post.

I used dvdsontap and was very pleased with their customer service. They've recently announced a huge increase in the number of copies they hold.

I cancelled mine as I don't have the time I used to watch them and wasn't getting the movies at the top of my rental queue...but don't let this stop you as I said above they've increased their number of copies now.

I've been thinking about this rental site...

http://www.screenselect.co.uk

It seems a bit dearer than the other's mentioned above but get three dvd's at a time with no late fee's, and as an offshoot of Amazon they should be well stocked up with discs...

I'll have to check out the other sites mentioned to see how it compairs.

Regards,
Iain.

I've been using screen select for a couple of months now and find it very good although like other sites they don't always send you the titles at the top of the list despite having over 15,000! They recently waived the charges for the equivalent of two weeks while the postal strike was on which was good.

I was forced into rental as my personal collection has mushroomed to over 1,000 discs and i've run out of places to put them. :(
I my have to cut back and sell some.
