Noticed the other day that the drive of my DV88+ is making a high pitched whine when playing. Drive info - LT75/02/FF
Should I be worried?

When does it whine ? Is it initially when the disc is spinning (i.e when in the menus) or when you are watching a movie..
Mine is quite noisy at startup.. but almost silent when actually playing the movie.

As the disc is spinning, during playback.

Does not sound great.. I would give the helpdesk a call (or your dealer) How old is the machine ? Have you had any picture sound breakup when watching a movie?

Do you know if its noisy on all discs or only some?
Is it on all chapters or only some?
CD's AND/OR DVD's?
