Arcam Cd82 remote control

Help peeps, the power/standby button on my remote CR-314 doesn't seem to work. All functions work except this button, I notice there isn't a description in the manual for this button, as opposed to the A85 manual which describes the power/standby buttons functions. Does this mean the button isn't configured/enabled? Only dicovered all this today after a few years excellent service from both CD82 and A85, trying to load everything onto a Harmony 885.

Re: Arcam Cd82 remote control

Hi Scottie

From what I remember the Arcam CD players do not have a standby feature. Arcam believe you should leave it switched on for the best sound. As the CR-314 controls multiple boxes the standby works for the amp but not for the CD.

Hope this helps.

Dave

Re: Arcam Cd82 remote control

Arcam CD players do have a standby function but it is only available as a discrete command that can be entered into a programmable remote such as the NevoSL that I use myself.

Thanks Dave you've confirmed my suspicions,.... Crusty where is the discrete code available and do you think it would be possible to programme to a Harmony 885?

You could try using the following RC5 codes which are for the CD73, they might work:

Power Toggle: 20-12
Power On: 20-123
Power Off: 20-124
