Ive just picked up a second hand DV79, looks and sounds great.

One minor annoyance though is that, in DVD and CD mode, the track number you are on in the grid on the far right of the display continually flashes.

Is this normal, and can I do anything about it?

Minor gripe i know, but now I've seen it I can't stop seeing it (if you know what I mean!)

The discreet blinking of the little track number in the grid is the subtle means used to indicate your current track.

You cannot stop the blinking per se, but you can turn off / reduce the intensity of the display panel by pressing the DISP button on the remote control once / twice.
