Hi there,
Read alot about this new gem from Arcam, Rdac because my old (12 years) and trusty Alpha 9 is slowly collapsing and degrading.
This is what i found and read.
Power supply is very poor quality so i found 2 possiblities;
Squeeze-upgrade - Lineaire voeding voor de Arcam rDAC 6V by: Squeeze-upgrade - Switch-mode upgrade voor de Arcam rDAC by:
USB port is the best way to hook up the Rdac to the system but ground loops are possible.
Thanks to SCANSPEAK

his solution is the cheaper one, this was mine;
WuT USB-Isolator 1kV
The digital domain consists of a small windows Vista laptop with Albumplayer.
The laptop is upgraded with Asio software to get the digital signal pure and clean without intervention from mediaplayer out of the laptop.
Source is a NAS with 2 TB capacity.
CD's are ripped with EAC into WAV-files.
My analog system contains of a Rotel pre RC-995 combined with 2 Rotel RB-991 in BI-amp setup, they drive Chario Milleniums 2.
The Rotels are hooked up with each other with vandenHull "thesecond", Milleniums with QED silver, source (Rdac) to pre with vandenHull "theultimate"
With everything read in mind i almost know for sure my system will give me the sound i was used to, after 100 hours that is

, but then it will be clear, spacious with much detail.
Regards,
Paul
