DV139 Lip Sync problem
My DV139 has had a software upgrade to 5.06.
Since then I have a Lip Sync problem with my Samsung LE52M8 LCD TV.
I've tried different settings of the Audio-Video Delay slider, but it does not help.
I now would like to reverse to the original software, which was in the machine when I purchased it, being version 4.12.
Can anyone supply me with the 4.12 ISO file for the DV139?

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
Guys,
Do we have any news on the new firmware that Arcam were working on to correct the issues with 5.06?
Thanks,
Anthony

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
I was wondering the same thing, I just did not want to be the first to ask Last I heard (in a post about 2 weeks ago). There was going to be some new features and that was the hold up. But that was here and I don't remember from who. So I guess you can take it for what it is worth.
New features would be nice but, I have a question.
1. In firmware 4.03, line item 5 says "Added more discrete IR commands to control the unit, include HDMI Resolution and PLII settings". I assumed these codes would be added to the manual or maybe a tecnical bulletin. But I have not seen them and there was no update (that I can find) to the online PDF (still Rev E). So how do I find out exactly what was added and what are the RC5 codes are, so that I can add it to my universal remote.
Does anybody have a list of them? Is there a list of them? Either way thanks in advance.

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
Actually I just realized that makes sense why it is not on the public page. If it was and sombody had old firmware there would be things in the manual that are not supported on thier player until it is upgraded. So the new manual or what ever documentation that describes the new features must be on the dealer extranet. If anybody has access, can you look for me please?

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
Thank you "Krell Rules" for the software.
It solved the Lip Sync problem.
The only remark is that according to the upgrade document, the player should reset itself after upgrading, but it doesn't.
It shows a power off message on the display, while the drawer stays open.
I waited 5 minutes and there was no change.
So I powered the unit off and on again and everything is fine.

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
Yea, I forgot to mention that, sorry. That happens to almost everybody and there was even a topic here on it. Glad I could help and that it fixed your issue. Seems as though allot of people with the 139 have had issues with 5.06. I have run it since it came out on my DV 137 and it has been great (for me). It was an improvement in stability, though small, as far as I have seen. But the 139s on this forum seem to have many issues with it.
Good luck and for all who have issues, I hope they come out with an update to help you soon. If not, I have some older versions.

May I just ask what the issues are with this firmware update....I updated my 139 a few months ago.....I think the only issue I've had is when playing/changing different region discs (R1) I get a blank screen, as though it's outputting no video signal but I get sound. I have to turn my 139 off and back on again to get it working??
Dave.

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
I dont know really because I have a 137. To generalize it I have heard allot about HDMI and other similar video issues but that is a big generalization. Check here: possible fault firmware 5.06??? happy reading

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
I had to return my DV139 to Arcam for repair under the warranty and they updated the firmware to 5.06 while they had it. When I got it back and tried it it was all over the place, HDMI problems etc. I then reset it to factory settings and started again from there. So far it has been faultless since I did that. May be of some relevance, but may be of no relevance whatsoever!

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
I know that after I loaded 5.06 I performed a factory reset and that is the point that things got better for me too. I played a disc first and still had an issue. I tried the reset and then manually set all of my settings and it was working better than it ever had. To me it seems like a good idea to try if you are trying to solve something, just a thought though.

Re: DV139 Lip Sync problem
I was one of those that was having issues with version 5.06 . I even tried the factory reset (twice) and that didn't help (see the link that Krell_Rules provided to the other thread here). Hopefully Arcam will release an update soon.
