Gurus...

I've got a friend in hospital recovering from a major heart attack.

He's got friends and relatives dotted around the world and I'm getting them to video get well messages (mainly on iPhones & iPads it turns out) and email them to me.

What I'd like to do is stitch them all together and end up with 1 long clip that I can put on my iPad and play it to him in hospital.

I've got a 2011 27" iMac with iMovie on it, so is it a relatively simple task for an Apple n00b!?

Should be pretty straightforward depending on format of movies. Once you save them on your mac then open imovie, then file/import the movies, they'll then appear as events. Then file/new project, pick a theme and simply drag the individual clips into position. Once complete then Share to iTunes, pick th size you want, then sync to your ipad.

If the movie formats are an issue then there are various progs that can convert them so that imovie can understand them - google can help.

One more Q-some has sent their message in 3 parts from their iPad! Can I stitch those together as one and stitch it along with the other single clips into 1 clip?

Yes, just drag and drop them next to each other in the iMovie timeline.
