Opening a .pub file.

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if there is a way I can view .pub Microsoft Publisher files?

I have been sent an email but I can not open the attachment.

Thanks

Barry

No chance.

Ask the originator to create a PDF or JPG of the original file if they can.

Re: Opening a .pub file.

Microsoft Publisher is one of those formats that comes up from time to time. Did this file happen to come from an institution such as a university by any chance?

Yes, PDF is your best bet, but have a word with the client and try and stop them using MS Publisher as there is absolutely no support for it in the graphics industry (with good reason - there are infinitely better alternatives). So whether they send files to you or someone else, it won't be usable unless it's converted to PDF first.

Re: Opening a .pub file.

Did a search and there appears to be Pub-to-PDF utilities (view, convert) available. Haven't tried these myself but it could be the quickest solution for now.

Its from the "home" package MS Publisher. They really should be using PDFs as they are a common standard but if you want to convert you can apparently do so here
