Customising your Mac has been raised before and the response wasn't too positive see this thread, but I've just come across Gelaskins and they have some stunning original artwork.

So if you fancy a skin for your MacBook, MBP, iPhone or iPod you might want to have a look. I like that they have artist details too, nice touch. Prices aren't bad either. Have fun and upload a pic if you buy one

Quite like the Union Jack flag one but don't fancy covering up the apple logo on the lid. If you did get one wonder if the light from the logo would show through the skin?

Quite possibly depends on the opacity I guess.

Of course a true anglophile MacHead would cut out the Apple symbol …

That didn't come out right - I meant make a cut out for the apple logo! Must look for that one for my Touch.

Suppose you could but as you say depends on the opacity that comes through.

Maybe a slight glow through the skin would be kinda neat.

Have bought Gelaskins for my last iPod nano and my current one. Can definitely recommend them. The only problem is if you get shipped the wrong one by mistake, which happened to my Sister. They asked her to send it back, which with them being in America, would have cost the same as buying a new one from them. However, I've ordered two and had no problems with delivery or payment.

Just thought I'd bump this thread with an article on Gelaskins on CoM featuring what they think are the 10 best skins - I like #10 - but have a look at the others as they are stunning original art.
